Liked: Parking, location
Disliked: Room small, cramped and worn, quilt frayed, no tissues or other amenities, phone booth size bathroom, no place to have toiletries near, no air conditioning, right on street. No imagination with breakfast, no effort put into food or presentation.. Eating area in cramped kitchen, no welcome snack late afternoon. Owners have been in business a long time and are only interested in money. We told them we had to leave early the second day, they made no offer to leave juice or coffee available, said breakfast at 8am. We did after pay full rate and got no service. We ended up leaving taking the loss and staying else where.

Overall I had a great...

Liked: Bed was very comfortable; decor had charm, staff was very friendly, helpful, courteous
Disliked: Would have liked faster internet speeds, they seemed to limit wi-fi accessibility after a certain hour in the evening.

Great staff and awesome location.

Liked: The staff and location were awesome. Felt like home away from home. We will stay again.
Disliked: The parking was trying at times. The city was pretty much sold out so we really overpaid for this property.

Like being in your grandmother's...

Liked: Very homey. Kind of like your grandmother's house with both the pluses and minuses. There were some very thoughtful amenities - coffee, frig, fan, and (yeah!) a nightlight for bathroom (I really wish more places would provide these!) Manager and owner were welcoming and helpful. Our room had lots of light and the double bed was comfortable. We also had a really nice deck that we used a lot. Lovely outlook onto a quiet street with some views of the mountains. The television offered lots of options - netflix, amazon, hulu, etc....very appreciated. The parking was easy and the location was excellent - very near everything but on a quiet street.
Disliked: "Lodge" is a bit misleading...more like a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was continental only and offered for a very limited time (8-9). We never made it down (either out earlier or asleep) so I can not speak to the quality of the breakfast. Downstairs bed was a double. Second bed (a twin in the loft) was not comfortable (hard and small). Room was advertised for three....but that is pushing it. I was with my adult son and he was very uncomfortable in the loft. It would perhaps be okay for a child, but not a small one as the stairs to the loft are very steep. As a 60 something, I would be nervous about going down the stairs at night as well. The loft and stairs, rather than adding space, made the room feel cramped and crowded. Bathroom small and products could use updating. No housekeeping service during our stay (although I think there is service for longer stays - we were there for three nights only). This may not be a big deal for most, but there was no air conditioning. While we found the fan met our needs it did get a bit stuffy during the days as the weather was quite warm during our stay.

Great location in Aspen, very...

Liked: Location was great, very close to downtown Aspen. "M" was wonderful and treated us well!
Disliked: One the "attractions" we were misinformed about being able to ride a bus back from an 8-mile bike ride. We ended up having to ride our bikes back the return (uphill) 8-miles back with full bellies.
