Excellent short stay in a...

Liked: Excellent breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was quirky with sloping floor etc, but agenof the building is part of its charm and room was very clean.Lovely old building and very central - this was a prime consideration for me.
Disliked: A bit noisy on Friday snd Saturday evenings as there is karaoke but I knew this before I booked so it was not a surprise. I have stayed here before and so wasn't concerned.

A step back in time

Liked: Great location in centre of city. And a feeling of stepping back in time.
Disliked: Bar area not as cosy as one would expect in such an old building.

Very central hotel with rustic...

Liked: I loved the rustic feel of the Inn, felt like I went back in time! Staff were very friendly which always helps. I was also able to park for free (overnight only) in a nearby car park. Facilities were also okay for the price paid.
Disliked: The toilet wouldn't flush and was reported to staff and believe they would attend to it. I also struggled to have a good signal with the wifi.

Liked: The fact that it's a listed buildingStaff seemed helpful on arrival
Disliked: Extremely difficult to get to in a carRoom furniture was a bit grubbyFacilities poor

Great stay in a lovely...

Liked: The hotel and history is great with many grade 1 protected original features. Right on the highstreet too with parking just 5 minutes walk away. We stayed in the 4 poster Oak Suite, which was massive and had beautiful, traditional, original features and had a lovely oldey-worldy feel. Not sure I would stay in any other room. The bed was comfy, and breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious and the bar prices are very reasonable. Staff were friendly and accommodating for requests. Would recommend this hotel!
Disliked: The live music night was loud but they did forewarn about this at the time of booking and I took earplugs. It finished by 11pm though and I still got to sleep before then so didn't really affect us too much but can't complain as they state this beforehand.

Disliked: It was run down dirty the bed was uncomfortable springs coming through low pillows staff seemed miserable and in a rush the shower was rubbish Not very clean at all drinks too exspensive

Had a great sleep

Liked: Lovely and clean, room warmed up quickly. Lovely lady at reception in the night and morning. Very helpful and welcoming. Love the proper bath towels !
