A comfortable and homely weekend...

Liked: The property is in a bit of a rural oasis in the middle of Stoke. It is very convenient for both town and motorway and completely secluded despite being in town.

Exceptional

Liked: The extra special touches like the bread, milk, butter, eggs, sweets and home baking we found on arrival. Very much appreciated.
Disliked: What I took exception to was the property being visited on the Saturday tea time by a female who at first didnt identify herself, asking how many adults were staying, that the property wasnt insured for children. On being advised that my son, his wife and my grandchildren aged 23 months and 5 weeks were with us but would be going home soon, the lady said "are you sure"? ...... oh we've been told this before ...... my daughter in law confirmed where they lived, this seemed to satisfy the lady who we think was the sister of the lady who owns the house! This actually put a dampner on our visit. We had travelled from Scotland to meet my grandaughter for the 1st time and had we known that children were not allowed, even to visit, we wouldnt have chosen the property.

Exceptional

Liked: Location offered a quiet, picturesque hideaway within a vibrant area. Very accessible, great transport links and plenty of walks such as to Trentham Gardens and along the Canal (hand drawn maps to guide). Property has lots of history and has been converted to a good standard with plenty of features. It is a great space offering open plan living which flows well from living room to dining room through to kitchen. It offered everything we needed and much more. Lots of lovely added extras provided by the hosts including books, DVDs, games, maps, guides as well as milk in the fridge, fresh bread rolls and a homemade cake!!
Disliked: Couldn't fault it
