Angie, Pictou, visiting Wilbur Theatre Sun, 18 November 2018

The hotel is not close to the Wilbur Theatre (went to see Boz Scaggs) when you factor in traffic - took us about 20 minutes. However, the hotel was beautiful and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Price was fantastic and close to Boston landmarks, public transportation, etc. We had a ball.

Liked: Food, location, staff, room.
Disliked: We found our room too hot; air conditioning was non-existent.

Fabulous

Liked: Staff and cleaning folks. Never saw them but made the room feel like home each day.
Disliked: That bond was not open to the public.

Boston, Spiritual Home Away From...

Liked: It was a flying visit to Boston of only 3 days and we were consumed with meetings and deadlines. In those circumstances the comfort of the property, the food, but most importantly the staff were a huge assist in helping us to navigate the tricky schedule. Special mention to Jared and Christopher on the front line at reception, the head bar man whose name I did not unfortunately catch, and the staff in the breakfast room. The chaps at the door in the signature bowler hats were always helpful and the concierge(s) an encyclopedia of local knowledge and advice. With my Irish roots I am always going to feel at home in Boston. To the the head bar man in the ground floor restaurant / bar - you are a gent and a scholar. To the charming lady who looked after us at breakfast, who hails from Bosnia Herzegovina, we had a blast chatting with you about travel. My sincere apologies for not checking out your ID badges for names which I suspect was down to the quality of the service by you both and our engaging conversations which distracted me! Walking the river, the Boston Market, the Financial District, the viewing platform on the Prudential Tower, the bars, and the restaurants were a joy. Uber service was excellent. The people charming and entertaining. I love this city. Special mention to The Banshee Bar in Dorchester which hosted us for the unfortunate thrashing that Wales gave Ireland in the six nations but well deserved victory and congrats to my Welsh brothers. The food and the Heda of Security at The Broadside. The music at Howl at the Moon.
Disliked: Nada

Hotel did not live up...

Liked: Good location. Reception area is welcoming and clean. Reception staff is very friendly.
Disliked: First room smelled terrible. (Laundry smell seemed to have been pumped into the room somehow) I was moved to a smaller darker room. Generally my expectation would be to get a better room if the fault is of their making. Not much value for the cost.
