Liked: Good connection to the subway. Spacious for NYC standards. Basic supplies in the kitchen. Privacy.
Disliked: The bathroom is not part of the room, but across the hall through which the workers may pass by. The staff was kind and respectful, but I was not expecting such an arrangement.

Liked: The room was decorated nicely, comfortable beds, mostly clean.
Disliked: No toiletries in room, or coffee. Couldn't get the coffee maker to work properly. the water just ran right through. I couldn't figure out if it was plugged in or not. It was the day of checkout and i forgot to mention it to anyone.

Truly Cozy Place With Cozy...
Liked: Thank you Cozy Inn staff for making my stay worth it. The price was excellent and it matched my budget. As a single traveler I really appreciated how accommodating the staff was from providing simple essentials in that lovely room, neighborhood recommendations and making me feel as cozy as their name. I chose a quiet room so that I could study. Not only was my room extremely quiet but so was the building overall. Since I found the Cozy inn accessible to public transportation and conveniently located near Columbia University this will be a definite return for me.

Liked: Not much. The room itself was good and as advertised
Disliked: EVERYTHING ABOUT CHECK-in. When I arrived I was FORCED TO PAY MORE as the incompetent manager who obvs cannot do her job right, stated I owed more bc of HER MISTAKE. She was EXTREMELY RUDE and prevented me from calling booking.com. I was very calm, and no matter as I explained I wanted to speak to booking.com she would talk over me and interrupt me. She basically just barked at me and would not listen and just wanted MORE MONEY from HER ERROR. I was almost physically assaulted by her, but again I remained calm. Throughout my 2 days there, thankfully I did not encounter her but the "workers" all day just YELL from floor to floor on tasks and are beyond unprofessional. Upon checkout, the same manager *WHO NEEDS SOME SERIOUS TRAINING* in Customer Service and interpersonal communication skills again just started barking at me and said "good riddance." She then, of course, YELLED at her other workers to RUN up to my room to make sure it was not damaged or whatever work they pretend to do. I left. Called, wrote Booking.com and revived my refund. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN and I am in the process of speaking to the"hotels" owner. This place is old, classic, and "nice," but with these employees, the PLACE CANNOT SUCCEED. They treat it as if they live there. NO RESPECT for anything, just classless people who are HORRIBLE at their jobs. If the real management/owner reads reviews. I implore you to hire new management/manager because you will encounter more issues, I PROMISE YOU. If you want to deal w/ an ignoramus staff, stay here, but there are much better - nicer and competent people to make you feel better and who have manners, humility - ITS NOT HERE!!!
