Worth the stay if you want to save some cash, but you're getting what you pay for. Don't expect anything on par with a modern hotel. Tube TV, no microwave, condensed rooms, shower and toilet within an inch of each other, old heater/AC and walls lacking insulation to name a few.
Liked: Historic building they're slowly renovating; very cheap for the area; breakfast.
Disliked: Very thin walls; uncomfortably tiny bathroom; questionable neighborhood; stiff/noisy bed; A/C didn't work.

I would not stay here again for FREE. The room was filthy, small, and weirdly spaced (like, the toilet was right on top of the half-shower, and the half-shower was a slip-and-fall waiting to happen). The service was horrible. They had two settings: hostile and apathetic. The "breakfast" (basically cold bagels and bad juice) was $13 per person, and parking (non-valet), on the open roof with no security, was another $13 per night. I would have rather stayed in my car. I have never been so glad to leave a hotel in my life.
Disliked: Everything - the check-in process was confusing and hostile. The staff was apathetic at best, and appeared to prefer to argue than converse with a paying guest. As I never got an answer when dialing either maid service OR the front desk, the phone was useless.

Disliked: I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Got to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at. Very disappointed.

Liked: Comfortable room
Disliked: No microwave. Seems a bit strange to have a fridge to store leftovers but no microwave to heat them up in.

Liked: Public areas in this hotel are very attractive. The people at the front door are very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: Carpets and wall coverings in the rooms are already stained and scuffed. The windows don't insulate much noise, and are poorly cleaned and maintained. The immeadiate area is borderline.

The staff was exceptionally helpful...
Liked: We enjoyed the eclectic collection of artwork throughout the hotel. Each floor had it's each unique set of art...The atmosphere in the bar was relaxing and the music Friday was nice.
Disliked: The restruant was a little loud and difficult to hear my friends without raising our voices.

modest enjoyable hip
Liked: a basic hotel that succeeds in styling itself for young aspiring hipsters on a budget. the people are friendly and repaired a thing immediately when I called. the café next door opens at 6 a.m.
Disliked: not having a reading light--or any kind of light you can turn off from the bed--means you have get up for that purpose. presumably their clientele lives by the light of their phones, and do not read paper books. the only other lamp, besides the single overhead light, has no switch and has to be plugged in and unplugged at the wall. the internet connection was slow.

The overall stay was ok....
Liked: Our room was suppose to ge a suite. T h.g e bathrooms were very small. The water in the sink wou kn d not go down. The shower made a terrible noise. The pull out coach I believe was broken.
Disliked: The maintenance needs updates. Check your rooms before you rent them out.
