Lovely building and staff
Liked: This is a fabulous building which has managed to keep the original panelled wood in the downstairs, public rooms. Bedroom was a good size with a small sitting area and a reasonably up to date bathroom.Staff very pleasant and welcoming.
Disliked: Food was very basic. Bar meal better than the restaurant.

Great place for a short...

Liked: Location, food and service was good. Entertainment on the friday night was fabulous. The hotel itself is lovely, quite old fashioned but fitted with the style of hotel.
Disliked: The heating in rooms 17 & 20 were below average for this time of year. We asked reception a number of times if there was a problem as the rooms were very cold. The heating seemed set for strange times, the rooms were cold in the morning & early evening but roasting during the night. The shower was very old style and could not be adjusted for height.
