Very good

Liked: The receptionist was amazing, everywhere was clean. Doors were coded so no annoying key to keep hold of. The bath water was lovely and hot and plenty of towels
Disliked: The mattress was in need of a change as it was very soft so the springs had seen better days and the scaffolding outside the window was an eye soar but the room was delightful

Great spot to stay in...

Liked: Nice and central location without being in the centre. My room was very large and beautifully decorated with antiques. It had everything that was needed and I look forward to staying again. The owners have clearly gone to a great effort to make sure that it is as Covid free as possible. Hand sanitizers at the entrance to each room and in/out the main door. Felt very safe and clean.
Disliked: No faults at all. Maybe up the game on the coffee front but that?s about it.It was a coded entry (with no formal check in) which wasn?t very clear but this could have been me not reading the email in a huge amount of detail. A sign at the entry would be useful but not essential.

A bit of a curates...

Liked: Room was extremely well equipped and very comfortable. The shower room looked as if it had recently been refurbished - to a high standard, The evening meal across the car park in the pub/restaurant was very good. I had ordered a glass of wine which was late coming to the table ( I had to remind the server). To my surprise it was taken off the bill.
Disliked: Not everyone in the restaurant was conforming to COVID guidelines. ie not wearing face coverings when moving around. This included some staff. Breakfast - this was a disaster. I sat down at soon after 07:30 when the restaurant opened and was still waiting for a simple Eggs Benedict at 08:00 when I had to leave for an 8:15 meeting. There were only 3 other tables occupied so the place was not at all busy. There was just no sense of pace in the staff on duty.
