Great location and staff but...

Liked: Lovely quaint hotel close to Ponsonby shops, cafes & restaurants which was a great asset. Staff lovely and bed really comfy. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast and complimentary drink on arrival 😁
Disliked: The noise of the pipes were unbelievably loud every time a person had a shower or flushed the toilet which resulted in 4 nights of disrupted sleep. Not likely to return.

Liked: Great location and the hotel itself is beautiful. Warm welcome & super helpful staff. My room was huge!Highly recommend

In our 4 week trip...

Liked: The check-in process. Proximity to Ponsonby Road area.
Disliked: The room whilst reasonably equipped was dismal and claustrophobic, too much in a fairly small space. Outlook across concrete yard to the kitchen window. The breakfast service provided was poor, no greeting, welcome, or conversation. Cooked food (which took and age) was served tepid to cold on cold plates (a common issue with accommodation providers it would seem).The dismal nature of breakfast matched the room.The whole operation lacked an 'personality'.
