Second time say , just...

Liked: Second time here , which says a lot . Easy parking at the back . Hotel right on the square for easy walk to the shops and restaurants in the middle of town . Rooms clean and comfortable . Nice place to stay .
Disliked: They had run out of the beer I like .

Liked: Lovely property, very comfortable and appreciated the history.Great location and parking.Room very nice with many qualities you’d expect for a nice 4 star. Although a little warm, but fan was provided as standard for use.Nice hotel.
Disliked: Mixed staff service.Some very nice and relaxing, some very rude and made you feel a nuisance just being there.One server in restaurant even rolled their eyes at us when we asked where to sit, assuming we’d know to sit anywhere. Then asked us for the table to order but couldn’t describe that there were table numbers or how to find them.Whereas another later server, who also served us breakfast was polite and friendly, which is all I would expect as service. Lovely lady.Check out staff was also nice and asked about stay, whereas check in staff unfortunately was the same person and couldn’t even point us in direction of room, just said up the stairs you’ll see the signs.

Lovely short stay in North...

Liked: Breakfast was good, staff excellent. The room was nice and quiet. The hotel is in an excellent position in the centre of Thirsk.All the staff in the hotel were superb.
Disliked: We had an issue with the toilet not flushing properly, which we fixed ourselves, but it needed a permanent repair. The bed was a bit soft for our liking, but comfortable enough. Bar prices were rather expensive.

Great location comfy hotel felt...

Liked: Prefect central location for coast dales and York. Family orrientated comfy room. Breakfast and evening meal were delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly really made us feel welcome.

Liked: The staff were all very friendly especially the receptionist bedroom was amazing four poster bed very comfortably
Disliked: Only the stairs only because we are not particularly mobile but fully understand why there is no lift
