Paul, Cambridgeshire, visiting Cliffs Pavilion Southend Mon, 18 May 2015

Opposite sea front, close to Cliffs Pavilion so it was ideal for us to see a show and not have to travel too far to the guesthouse. I am disabled and they allocated us a ground floor room which had a sea view and was very comfortable. On street parking with parking permit. Reasonably priced rooms. Overall enjoyable weekend.

Liked: A well run friendly family guesthouse.

Exceptional

Liked: Full english breakfast was great, especially the sausage (really tasty and cooked to perfection). The owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. Location was good. Modernized recently to a good standard.
Disliked: More choice at breakfast to be honest, if you didn't want a full english then the only apparent options were a partial english breakfast. A veggie breakfast was offered but it wasn't on the menu and I'm not sure if it wouldn't have been exactly the same but without the meat. Not sure it was a hundred per night hotel in mid Oct tbh, although furnished nicely the room and en suite was very compact.
