Good
Disliked: The room we were in, King size, was not that big. For the price we definitely expected a bigger room but it was clean and modern.

Pleasant
Liked: Clean, easy check in, polite staff
Disliked: Being woken x 2 in the middle of the night by the valet service, after they misplaced our car keys. Total disorganized and unapologetic

Friendly, comfortable, great roof deck
Disliked: Only area for improvement is help getting taxis or car services for guests. Out of town visitors will be surprised to be 100% reliant on Lyft or Uber.

A perfect stopping place in...
Liked: Sophisticated southern charm! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were updated and swanky. Thanks Elyton for a wonderful stay!

Amateur hotel staff, poor communication...
Liked: I liked checking out & leaving the property. Also the front desk area smelled nice.
Disliked: We were in town for one night & picked this hotel because of reviews & the rooftop bar. When we checked in the front desk employee told us about the 2 restaurants & that we could go to rooftop bar at 4pm when it opened. We got ready & planned to hit the rooftop at 4pm before our event we were in town for. We got to the top floor & when the elevator door opened we were met by bar tender that said sorry the rooftop is closed tonight. We laughed & started to walk out of elevator, but he didn’t move & we quickly realized he was joking. We went back to the front desk where a different employee was working & I asked why we were denied access & she said the rooftop was closed for a private event. I explained to her we chose this hotel specifically for the rooftop & were told at check-in that wale could go enjoy it at 4pm when it opened. This hotel employee could have cared less & just brushed me off. This is my first bad review I’ve left for any hotel in my life. The hotel itself seems outdated & needs some easy upgrades/repairs. We’ve stayed in far nicer places for less money than the Elyton cost per night. Marriot owned 4 star hotels seem to lack proper updates to maintain the 4 star hotel expectations. We ended up walking 15mins to the Redmont Hotel for their rooftop bar. Avoid Elyton, unless you have low standards.
