Hotel was nice; very clean; very nice staff!

Liked: The best was it was very clean.
Disliked: Chlorine smell was super strong.

Comfortable; quiet; affordable; clean; free WiFi; close to everything. Although I was misled in believing this place was in KY. Not IN. You should not call it "Louisville North". It's Clarksville, IN. Call it that! We got lost because I just knew this place was in Louisville, KY. When I finally just let my GPS do it's thing, we were fine. We had a great time, and a comfortable stay.

Liked: A short cab ride away from everything in downtown Louisville.
Disliked: We could walk right outside from the second floor, but had to go downstairs to get back in and ride an elevator back up. The room key only worked on the ground floor entrance. The girl who checked us in should have better things to say about the city of Louisville and the Phoenix Hill Tavern. She said they pat everyone down looking for guns because Louisville is a bad place. This was totally false - no pat down. Felt totally safe waiting outside for a cab. I'm sure this young lady was only repeating what she had heard.

Read a review before reserving about a strong cleaning supply smell in the room and we found it to be like that in the room we got. Not a bad hotel but my wife could barely stand the smell. Would probably get a different hotel next time only because of that.

Liked: Clean; comfortable beds; nice bathroom.
Disliked: Very strong cleaning product smell.

The hotel had a very interesting and beautiful layout, right on the lake with a nice view from the room. Clean and up-to-date, bed was comfy. Very convenient from interstate.

Liked: Nice room, convenient location
Disliked: Corridors a bit shabby and odiferous

You get what you pay...

Liked: The location and the staff were very nice. There’s only so much they could do with the property they were given to manage.
Disliked: It is a very old property. The wallpaper was peeling and the metal door frames and baseboards were rusted. The epoxy was peeling off the bathtub.

Liked: When we asked for a change of room, the staff worked quickly to give us a cleaner room that didn't have a musty odor. The view of the lake was very nice. The breakfast was good.
Disliked: There are not enough chairs in the pool area. The carpets look dirty and need to be updated.

Good value, a little frightening

Liked: The room was nice, staff was helpful and friendly
Disliked: The hallways are maze-like and disorienting... We genuinely could not find our room. We had to get the front desk guy to save us. Also there was a tweaker outside blocking the door and we had to sneak past him it was scary.

Disliked: It was a long walk to my room, and the pool had a large footprint so the hotel lobby smelled like pool

Liked: Getting to the room was a little difficult, but the room itself was very comfortable.
Disliked: The restaurant was staffed solely by a server on their first day. Although what we good was good, the selections were lacking for what seems like a great facility.Most hotels at this price level have a free breakfast.
