Liked: Stayed here w my UA-freshman daughter one sultry August night & thoroughly enjoyed our kind/hospitable host & the thoughtfully-furnished/fixtured premises. The folks that restored & improved this historic property evidently took their time & dug deep into their pocketbooks to perform an exquisite job. Good WiFi - 5-minute walk to a great, Mexican restaurant (Charro) - comfy swimming pool - 24-hr access to homelike amenities, but proprietor Alex iced the cake with his hospitality, consideration, and generosity. I look forward to visiting frequently in the years ahead
Disliked: Restoring an historic property is a huge gambit: Retrofitting efficient plumbing & HVAC into an old masonry structure is no task for a budget- or time-conscious developer, but the restorers did a darned good job. Our toilet/shower was very clean and functional, but it was a bit "cozy," and the tasteful furnishings are more decorative than practical. They still deserve a 96/100, and I would trade a boring, Marriott room for our room any time, but if the limitations imposed by the historic structure had allowed for a roomier bathroom, and if the furnishers had dug a little deeper to find a proper desk and an armoire large enough for a proper TV screen, I'd score this place a perfect 100/100

A great place!
Liked: A nice historical building just purchased by a family, which just loves the building.
I wish them all the best.
An interesting building with a lot of history.
Disliked: Nothing could be done better. due to the historical nature of the building, thinks like sinks and bath tubs are matching that atmosphere and are not up to date to a modern standard.

Best value for business travel...
Liked: Perfect location for my work. Quiet. Friendly staff. Very secure. Interesting layout and sizeable room.
Disliked: There wasn't any breakfast served, and the vouchers were for locations that were too far out of my way. The bed was insanely squeaky, to the point where it was waking me up every hour or so each night.

Liked: It was a pretty place. Site manager was very nice.
Disliked: Description said this was a bed and breakfast. They do not serve breakfast. That was very disappointing.

If I ever revisit Tucson...
Liked: The location for me was great, and the building it's self was interesting. The staff I saw were nice.
Disliked: There was a lot of confusion about the payment for my booking, which was never completely resolved, insomuch as I sent emails but I have not received replies. I thought it was very expensive.

Liked: The location of the property was very convenient it was in the historic district
Disliked: The property is represented as including breakfast. This is a bit misleading. To me that indicates breakfast on the property. Instead you are issued vouchers. You can choose one of two restaurants to use these vouchers. The first is about a 15 minute walk and the voucher is worth $10. Anything you order beyond that you pay for yourself. The restaurant is small you may have to wait for a table.The second is for a Marriott hotel About 10 minutes away.This doesn?t necessarily work if you are in a hurry and don?t have an hour and a half for breakfast by the time you get to the restaurant order your food wait for it and then settle up your check. In our case we only receive vouchers for out first three mornings. You must decide ahead of time which of these two institutions you want the vouchers for. The voucher then is dated and for a specific place. We had a five night stay. The was no response after two text messages and a phone call asking for vouchers for the last two days. There are two water bottles in the room. You are told to refill those as needed from a cooler in the kitchen. However, once you open a bottle the cleaning staff takes it away so after the first two nights they were gone. This then left me the task of constantly filling up the the small glasses in my room from this cooler. Of course, first you must be dressed in the morning before you can do this so quite inconvenient.
