A great 2 days in...

Liked: We have been before and love the homely atmosphere. Fantastic food, great location and friendly staff.
Disliked: We have not stayed in this room before, a bit basic and small. A smaller back room is always going to be difficult but could do with paint and revamp. We would still come again but book another room.

Owner and staff nice enough...

Liked: Location was great on the high street, price of rooms too expensive for what they where and didn’t included breakfast which would have been around £40-50 extra, Didn’t stick around for breakfast as food was not worth the price after having evening meal, food was standard and underwhelming. Staff where nice enough
Disliked: We had paid the same price for two rooms which were completely different, one renovated including new smart tv, newer cleaner bathroom, and black out curtains. the other really dated with small standard tv and Chanel’s, wouldn’t usually be an issue but was travelling with kids and no where else around was open for entertainment.We did also find a dogs chewed up bone under the bed a pair of glasses and a bottle of shampoo so not sure how kept the rooms are which put us off a little. I was also called the next evening after returning home to a message stating that I hadnt yet paid for the rooms, the rooms were paid for on arrival ghe day before. Payment was found in seconds. Which should have been looked for properly before calling and messaging to say i hadn’t paid. If the price of the rooms where lower to reflect the standards then there wouldn’t really be much of an issue but for the price was expecting a little more
