Lovely "old school" hotel in the middle of everything downtown. Gracious lobby and lovely staff at every turn. Will definitely return!

Liked: The rooms are comfortable and well appointed.
Disliked: Slowness of the elevators.

We loved our stay at...

Liked: We had an upgrade to our room. But it turned out to have noise from the elevator. So, I went to the Front Desk and they changed us to another up grade and had a bellman help us mover. New coffee shop that is outstanding!!!
Disliked: It is downtown and not the best area to walk to things in the Arts District which is close. The street crossings are too irregular as well as busy. At night it is a little confusing and uncomfortable because no one is around. However, the door man at the hotel told us to take our car and not walk--which was good because directions to restaurants and Arts District listed the walking time.

Liked: The pool was wonderful. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. The rooms were fabulous, beautiful, well appointed, with attention to traveller needs (charging ports, usb ports in bedside tables and desk area). Fantastic lighting in the bathroom. Concierge was spot on for where to buy a bottle of wine. Downtown is full of activity. Highly recommend this hotel.

Liked: The best hotel me and my family have ever stayed at by far. The staff was extremely kind and catered to our needs. We will definitely be back!
Disliked: There was only one problem while checking out and it was the extremely rude woman that assisted me in the check out process. Her attitude was unacceptable, unfortunately I was unable to find my receipt to give her name.

Mike Fri, 13 April 2018

Liked: Clean and quiet rooms
Disliked: The valets stole cash and change from my vehicle. More than $100. The hotel manager promised to correct the issue by sending vouchers for a future stay but nothing ever arrived. In short this hotel employs numerous thieves and liars from top to bottom.

Liked: We were only there one night but loved the charm and feel of the hotel. There were numerous restaurants within walking distance. Because of rain we ate breakfast in the hotel and basic breakfast buffet was good and reasonably priced. We'll be back.
Disliked: No self parking which is OK but a little confusing when valeting car.
