Very Good - 4.0 out of 5

Chris S, Sarnia, visiting Bloor Cinema Tue, 24 June 2014

Liked: Clean and new. Great location if you want to walk to Kensington Market.
Disliked: There is no coffee maker in the room. Also there's a kitchen but nothing to cook with.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Mary S, Pickering Mon, 4 March 2013

Liked: Close to Queen West.
Disliked: A smelly little dive - bed was a caved in foam mattress. Tub had no enamel. View was of the dumpster; fighting neighbors all night - only way to sleep would be to pass out! We vacated at 6:30 am. Our anniversary - so disappointing.

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

Cathy K, Sault Ste. Marie Fri, 23 September 2011

Located in a slum area in China town, dirty and smelly. The room was small, no air conditioning and old and run down. Shame. My husband and I nearly vomited from the smell.

Disliked: What a dump!!

Linda LeBreton, Angus, Ontario Sun, 14 August 2011

Overall good location and close to many things. Also liked on-site parking. Hotel itself was not very up-to-date but was clean.

Liked: Parking was on-site and could walk to Queen St. for restaurants.
Disliked: Were told at check-in, time of check out next day was anytime upto 2 o'clock. Thought this a bit strange because most check-outs are around 12. Took our time in morning then got a call from front dest telling us 12 was check out (it was 12:15)

Good

Liked: It had kitchen facilities, so that I could get my own breakfast and make a cup of tea whenever I wanted. The staff were helpful with maps and finding our way around. I was very impressed with the coffee making facilities, but I didn't drink coffee, and it was great to have a kettle for boiling water for tea.
Disliked: The rooms did not have any sound insulation between floors, or between rooms, so it could be quite noisy. There were no screens on the windows, so I felt too uncomfortable to leave them open at night.

Good value for the budget...

Liked: Location, value, & friendly, approachable staff. Housekeeping staff are cheerful & efficient. Plumbing is reliable & water pressure is great. Our requests (luggage support, towels, dish washing supplies) were addressed promptly & professionally.
Disliked: Maintenance of basic (& inexpensive) renovations appears to be an ongoing challenge. Ventilation system is dated. Cooking odours are intrusive, but tolerable if bathroom door is closed. Window cannot be opened for fresh air.

Poor

Disliked: the sheets were not clean and there were bugs in my room
