Very Good - 4 out of 5

Patricia L, Muncie, IN, visiting Old National Centre Fri, 10 June 2016

The place was a bit hard to find, but once we did, I was amazed. I had never been to a bed and breakfast so I didn't know what to expect. It was much better than a motel. Privacy was not an issue on the night we stayed. We got to sit on the balcony and enjoy the night. Everything was comfortable and exquisite. The only thing is there were no stores in the nearby vicinity and no drinks were available unless you called after hours room service. It just wasn't convenient. But as long as you know to bring your own, the stay will be amazing. There was a family room and a library - old world Victorian charm. You will find it all here. Walking the neighborhood was fabulous.

Liked: Charming; balcony; location; rooms were all decorated differently.
Disliked: Shared bathroom, but no one was there so that really didn't matter. No beverages available except betwen 7-8 am weekdays.

Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Angie, East Peoria, visiting Bankers Life Fieldhouse Sun, 27 October 2013

I will never stay there again. It was the worst trip I have ever had.

Liked: I like all the old house itself.
Disliked: The man there was not very nice - he never gave us a tour of the house or asked if we needed anything. We got lost so were late getting there - I mentioned we were tired and hungry - not once did he offer food or a place we could get a delivey. My car would not start the day I was leaving and the AAA guy asked if he could pull in the yard a little to give me a jump because there was a car next to mine, and the man Tom that ran the place said absolutely not. So the AAA guy said can you find who has this car next to hers. He said no I am not bugging them people either. So we finally came up with hooking are cables together to jump start my car.

Stone Soup Experience

Liked: It?s a lovely house in a neighborhood that appears to be making a huge revival . We enjoyed the interesting style and it?s charm and Character . The loft we stayed in was like a tree house!
Disliked: Walking up three flights of stairs with all of our stuff was hard . The bed in the loft was close to the ceiling which is actually part of the roof. Narrow stairs to bed in loft was manageable but caution needed! Have to come down those stairs to use the restroom, but we did have our own. I would not recommend this for anyone with health issues, physical problems, out of shape or elderly individuals. I didn?t think this was clear in the description.

It was just ok.

Liked: the staff were very nice.
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable. The whole place looks like it hasn?t been updated since 1996 when they opened.

Serene and pleasant.

Liked: The bed was comfortable, the room was peaceful and had nice views. The bathroom was superb. I really enjoyed the salt baths. Amber was an exceptional host.
Disliked: Nothing really. Next time I will find a laundromat close by.
