Spanish Bay Inn CANADA, Sydney

We loved it.

Liked: Breakfast was a bonus as we didn’t know it was included. It was dry cereal, toast, juice and coffee.Location was right downtown and walking distance to everything we needed
Disliked: 100+ year old property but well maintained. Lots of dated things, but they suit the antique style of the property.

Exceptional

Liked: The room was wonderful. It was very quiet and the lady that checked us in was very nice. It was very clean and the bed was really comfy.
Disliked: The room and stay was wonderful. One thing that could be approved was the doors entering the rooms. You had to push hard for them to latch shut and I didn’t feel very safe with them I felt like it would be very easy for someone to break into the doors. However I loved that entrance door had a pad lock with a pin enter so unless you were staying there and had the pin for the door you couldn’t get in. The fact that no one off the street could just walk in unless they had the pin was comforting but we still feel that the doors to the rooms are in need of updating/fixing. The shower could also use a slip matt in the shower as it was a bit slippery..

Excellent, convenient location in a...

Liked: Staff was fabulous, and so friendly! Location for the concert we were attending was a 5 min walk, parking for the hotel was super convenient, and the room was so quiet we thought we were the only guests at the Inn! (Surprisingly quiet despite the location near a busy road!) We will definitely choose these lovely, well-appointed accomodations again when visiting Sydney. Recommed!
Disliked: I wish we had been able to stay another night.

3 days in Sydney as...

Liked: Location was terrific, breakfast was OK. Room was comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Very good

Liked: The location is excellent. Right in the heart of downtown Sydney. 100ft from Governor's Pub in one direction and 100ft from Seven by Seven in the other.
Disliked: I didn't find any To-Go cups for coffee in the morning. My car is fairly low with a trailer hitch on the back which scraped the sidewalk on the way out of the parking lot due to a dip as you enter the roadway.

Liked: Great place ! On street and off street parking. Very, very clean. Friendly . Breakfast is a self serve style with coffee, yogurt, cereal, toast etc. Host is terrific. This place exceeded our expectations. We wanted an affordable spot , and this place was certainly value for the money.
Disliked: Nothing .
