Pleasant except we didn't get...

Disliked: Booking.com You advised you had upgraded me to a Superior King Room but there is no such thing, we had a Superior Double so a smaller bed.Please note they do not offer a Superior King as you offered/advertised (see their website) and they will be taking that up with you directly

Liked: Great relaxing hotel and spa, rooms were good value. Good breakfast choice on offer.

Not worth the money

Liked: The spa facilities are lovely and the staff helpful. The hotel and grounds are very pretty, nice areas to chill out and have a drink.
Disliked: Room was very basic for the price. Uncomfortable 2 single beds pushed together and shower over bath tub situ. Very slow water coming out of showerDid not enjoy our meal at the restaurant. Both love steaks and order this every meal out. Quite possibly the worst steak we’ve both had, tough, charred and fatty with a few chips. Definitely not worth the price. The nice waiter noticed that my partner did not eat his and offered us 1 free dessert. No mention of taking the over priced uneaten meal off the bill. Staff around the hotel not very welcoming other than the waiter at the bar. The room we got put in was opposite what appeared to be a staff hang out, got woken up early by staff bashing about and chatting. To top off our stay at around 8.45am there was drilling and what sounded like building work that was that loud it could have been in our bedroom. This lasted until check out at 11! No mention of what this was or why. We typically like to have a lay in on our nights away however this was not an option. I asked the staff outside our room at the time where this noise was coming from and why and they replied ‘the kitchen’. The hotel did not appear busy throughout our stay so I am unsure why they put us in a room above the kitchen if they was to be doing work at that time in the morning. When checking out the reception asked about the stay. We said we wasn’t best pleased with the noise this morning and that it woke us up. She apologised and said she would send a feedback form. We did not argue this as we just wanted to leave at this point
