Would recommend that others stay...

Liked: Personal touch from Cathy & Rick with good recommendations & real care that guests had a good experience. Also kindly provided a glass of wine on the day of our arrival.
Disliked: Noise of air conditioner in our room was very loud & difficult to turn off. Room was on the top floor so had limited views outside & stairs may be difficult for others.

Authentic, charming, and incredible experience!

Liked: Beautiful grand home with gorgeous dining room and charming tables and full service breakfast. And breakfast was top notch. I had egg and crab on English muffin with hollandaise and smoked apple bacon. Included in the stay. Extraordinary. This was one of three options. They also had a room what likely would have been called a cigar room back in the day. And everyday at 4, they serve drinks for free. I had wine and my husband had old fashions. Again, all free. We had a chance to meet the other two couple staying there and ended up going to dinner with one couple and on a historical pub crawl with the other. We had an amazing time! And the neighbourhood is beautiful!
Disliked: Our room wasn’t huge but we did have the room with a walk in tiled shower which was great! I did see the room with claw foot tub and it was much bigger but we preferred the shower so no complaints!

Rick and Kathy made us...

Liked: Breakfast was very good as was the dining room. The options changed daily, all delicious.The hotel is in an excellent location for walking around the Galveston town. Make sure you tap into Rick and Kathy's local knowledge.

Great way to round off...

Perfect place to stay in...

Liked: Loved the location and the history of the property. I also really like how they let you park your car there while on a cruise. The breakfast was fantastic.
Disliked: The stairs, but I knew ahead of time that there was no elevator. Doesn’t diminish the wonderful stay we had at all.

Fantastic Stay.

Liked: The house is a beautiful mansion with orignal wood work. The owner is a great chef and makes you an excellent breakfast. The daily complimentary social hour is very nice.
Disliked: The only difficulty we had was using the tub shower combination. The original clawfoot tub is a high step into the shower. They were able to switch us to a room with a walk in shower the next night.

Liked: Very beautiful property. Old style but well kept. Tommy and Lynette were super helpful. Definitely would recommend the stay. Even allowed us to park for a 6 day cruise. Brilliant.
Disliked: Nothing at all.
