This stay was not the cleanest nor most comfortable stay.
Liked: The hotel is close to the WSU campus. We loved the initial ambiance of lobby- but our entire stay no one actually ever was there serving drinks etc. So just dont have any expectation that there is a service bar (I dont think many would care, but it shouldnt be advertised as such).
Disliked: I dont like to rock the boat with unnecessary complaints and I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, but this stay was beyond disappointing. The rooms were not very clean. There was dirt/ dust everywhere. The sheets and towels were clean but beyond that its like no one is actually cleaning the surfaces, showers or floors or the walls near the toilet. There was what appeared to be urine on the wall. The mattress cover for the pullout couch was HEAVILY stained which grossed my 18 year old son out- which takes a lot to do. Not to mention the actual couch itself was dirty with various stains- food, body fluids who knows. In addition it was not even usable for a bed. My son can sleep almost anywhere but these pull out couches were the worst Ive ever seen. We had to take the mattress out and place on the floor and cover it completely with a blanket underneath the actual bedding. We would have booked another room for him- but not at these prices. Quite a few of the staff are still wearing masks so there seems to be a discrepancy with cleanliness/germ spread? The beds and bedding were not great either. Just ok.Now, lets talk about the breakfast situation. Overall the three mornings we were there, it proved to be a waste of a trip to venture downstairs. The first morning we couldnt even get milk, as they ran out and the hotel wasnt even close to being full. Everyday it was a coin toss if you could get a cup of coffee- and if so, it was sure to be lukewarm. The bagels and English muffins could have been mistaken for hockey pucks-BEFORE being toasted. It was as if the hotel was on a mission to make the breakfast situation a joke. Come on now- we werent asking for much, just hot cup of coffee and milk for cereal (as the sausage and bacon were not edible in my opinion knowing the cleanliness of the room we were afraid to eat the cooked food).
