A very enjoyable experience!

Liked: The staff are personable and professional without being intrusive. The hotel is very well appointed, immaculate, and visually appealing. Breakfast was wonderful. I will stay here again.
Disliked: N/A

Disappointing - 2.3 out of 5

Brenda Tue, 26 February 2019

Disliked: Everything I was told about they accommodate my needs where not meet. It was under construction and the smell of that was not good. I never even checked in or stayed. The front desk lady was very helpful and apologetic and understood my frustration and tried to help me but at that point I was unhappy

Had a less than stellar...

Liked: The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. We were locked out of our room because a weird glitch with the door. Otherwise the location was good in downtown Hartford.

Cheap and not cheerful.

Liked: Very little. Its located right behind the train station which is where the positives end.
Disliked: I waited 20 minutes at reception for them to check in 2 people ahead of me. No idea what was going on but got the usual 'system is down' response. The lobby has probably the most depressing breakfast setup I've ever seen. If you live in hotels due to political tensions in your country of origin, you'll probably know what its like. Upon entering my room, the smell of weed from the bathroom was quite intense. It slotted in with the overall shabby feel though. Yes its a cheap hotel but i still expect a little better. The aircon unit was so old and trashed that i could only have it on when I was out of the room due to the noise. So the morning was chilly to say the least.

Comfortable but ended on a...

Liked: The location was next to the bus stop. I got in from an 18 hour flight, a 50 min subway ride, a 2 hour bus ride and was exhausted so I liked how close it was so that I got checked in quickly and fell asleep.
Disliked: I stayed ror 11 hours only. When I checked out at 6 am the next morning, I left my bag at the security check. When I came back at 9 pm to collect it, I realised my bus to NYC was at 12 am. People warned me about safety issues in that area so I polietely asked the girl on the front desk if I could wait for the bus in the lobby. She said yes. Being jet lagged, I fell asleep sitting in the couch and was awoken by security. They said I had to leave. It was 10:47 pm. The girl had called security on me as though I were a homeless pereon and someone who was staying there just hours ago. When I said I'd leave in 30 mins, the security guy was nice and said ok. The girl just looked. When I got up to leave, I thabked both her and the security guard. He was nice. She turned her back on me and went inside. I wish I dodn't feel so humiliated at the end of my stay.
