Won't be staying here again
Liked: While this is certainly a no-frills experience, the staff are wonderful, check-in and check-out were seamless, the room was clean and we saw staff all the time tidying up the property, the location is amazing. Right near all kinds of shopping, restaurants, and great proximity for the Woodward Dream Cruise in particular.
Disliked: This was our second time staying here (we tried to give it the benefit of the doubt) and both times were unpleasant due to the other occupants. The first time, the police were pounding on the door directly beside ours at 1am and car alarms were going off at 4am. The second time, we were put in a room that was between about 3 or 4 other rooms that seemed to all be the same family and they were constantly hollering back and forth at each other, kids screeching outside our door, people talking loudly right outside our door at all hours, a kid played basketball against the wall of our room, etc etc. There is ZERO sound proofing and you can see light coming in from under the door, so this certainly didn't help control the noise from outside. It was awful. Another note, while I found the bed okay my partner was in pain (back and hip pain) all night long and slept horribly. There are about 20 channels on the TV and only half come through clearly.

Really like Red Roof Inn...
Liked: Convenience and location. Room was comfortable and clean. Good value for the price.
Disliked: Problems with electronic key card to my room. Shower head flow not adequate.

You get what you pay...
Liked: I like that they are always available with a room. I book here pretty often, and as usual you get what you pay for. So for the value, its good enough.
Disliked: There is a young man who works the desk, usually right before the overnight shift. I swear he could care less about his job. In the 3 times I've booked there in the last 2 months, he has been at the desk, on the phone (speaker at that, so I can hear all the colorful language his caller has), he has his clothes all out of order, dirty, and he fails to ever make eye contact. Now I'm not expecting Holiday Inn type service, but at least ACT like you like the job YOU applied for. Other than that, there was a TV that didn't have a remote and was on a power strip that kept cutting the TV off if you closed the bottom drawer too far.
