Was disappointed with the room,...
Liked: location was great. It was pretty quiet. Staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
Disliked: The room was non-smoking, but reeled of cigarette smell. Didn't notice until the next morning that the bed covering had dried blood stain on the edge of the covering ( went to bed with lights off). When air is blowing through aA/V, it blows the curtain open. Had to put trash can in window sill to keep curtain closed..

Liked: Shopping and food was convenient.
Disliked: The staff were very lazy and rude to other guests as well as myself and my fiancÚ. The jacuzzi was out of order! The tv remote didn?t work so we weren?t able to operate the electronics.

Disliked: It was nasty the first room they put us in was dirty had not been cleaned. There was trash in certain areas. The hotel had bad order issues. Housekeeping didn?t want to give extra towels. I want ever stay again.

Skip the yucky room and...
Liked: I like that there was plenty of towels, the bed was clean and comfortable and the a/c worked well.
Disliked: We had to switch rooms immediately because there was work being done and wire pieces on the floor. The new room was fair and I wasn't excited about coming back to stay another night. The hallways, elevator and side entry was filthy. The floors needed to be swept and mopped, the rubber rugs were disgusting. If the hotel showed more pride in the cleanliness I would have felt more comfortable. I don't have to have the newest and nicest accommodations, just clean and maintained. There was a crunchy, filthy rag left in my room. It was already midnight and I was already showered by the time I found it. I called and asked for housekeeping, and they tidied up the room while we were gone that afternoon. They did offer me another room. Things were not wiped down, specifically the desk, office chair, alarm and bathroom counter. I told the front desk lady but she cut me off. I told her I needed this room cleaned and listed the areas that need attention. All they can do is apologize and offer a new room. I came to Memphis at midnight and was exhausted. I didn't see all the issues until the next morning, but I could tell right away that the standards were low. We joked our entire weekend about how awful our room is and how we should stay somewhere else the next night. It's pretty bad when someone doesn't want to go back to their room. This is definitely a $75 a night stay. I also wasn't charged the booking.com rate, but I don't know what to do about that. Next time we're staying at the La Quinta. We looked around Memphis for better hotels for next time. We will not be staying here again.
