Avoid this hotel. It is not up to Best Western standards.

Disliked: Room was filthy even after switching. People smoking outside of room and smoke coming in under door. Parking lot filthy with trash. Parking lot used for racing and loud music after 11pm.

This hotel was the chosen spot for Veterans needing services at the VA Hospital. Therefore there was a backup at check in. I was told to come back at 4:30 even though check in was 3:00. Then there was no hot water until the next morning, even though I had a social event that evening. There was no notification of this problem or offer of reimbursement.

Liked: Clean.
Disliked: Check in and hot water.

Our stay at Quality Inn & Suites Durham was fantastic. We like to bring our dog with us on small trips and Quality Inn made the process very easy. The staff was helpful and the facilities were clean. I would stay there again next time we go to Orange County Speedway!

Disliked: It did not match the description on the booking.com. The property was depilated and in terrible condition. It had multiple areas of exposed wood rot on the front of the property. I did not feel safe being there and decided to go down the road to stay at a competitors property.

Nice hotel if you want...

Liked: Bed was nice.
Disliked: Hotel said it was 100% smoke free yet the minute we got here it smelled like weed. The people downstairs were smoking weed all night. The smell kept coming up through the vent.

Liked: There wasn’t anything I liked I felt like I was staying in a Motel 6
Disliked: It smelled like cigarettes The bedding looked cheap 1950 air conditioning Front desk were like robots, not friendly, poor eye contact Not worth my money

Disappointing

Liked: Clean. Beds not bad. Staff nice.
Disliked: Could be loud at night due to nearby highway, traffic. Very very basic service.

Liked: Location was fine.... That's all the positive I can say
Disliked: Felt like I was staying in a jail cell. Concrete gray walls and floors. Bathroom was tiny. Looked as if the towels haven't been cleaned in weeks. Room was dusty and dingy. Room was super small also. Room service is non existent. This place is not as advertised. Definitely needs work.
