Liked: The location was fantastic. There's a streetcar station just outside the property which will take you straight to Bourbon St. in about 15 minutes. Due to a late change in plans, I had to make a second separate booking to add an extra night at a reasonable cost, but the staff made it so I didn't have to check out and recheck in.
Disliked: The first room we were checked into had a window above the door with no covering, so people on the second floor could peer into my room 24/7. I resorted to covering with paper towels and tape. The floorboards were coming off and they tried covering it with a rug, which was old and very dirty. It did not have a remote. The shower is also one of those where it is no full splash guard, so water gets all over the bathroom floor. What really broke our back was the shower would not drain fast enough. The staff did not seem to believe me and when one of them came to check, he ran the tap for 5 seconds, then went back to the manager and told her he "fixed" it, despite doing literally nothing. Eventually, we had to have the manager just see for herself and only then did she let us switch rooms. There was another staff person (I believe a maintenance worker) who, twice, kept knocking on my door despite the do-not-disturb. The second time, he tried to open the door without my permission and was only stopped by the door swing guard.The location is nice, but I would recommend you find another property, especially given the price.
