We visited here for my birthday, as went to see a show at Victoria Hall. The room was adequate for a 1 night stay. The bed was comfortable but the facilities for washing were poor. The bath was very low. Didn't like the shower curtain - poor hygiene. You can hear people in the next room.
Liked: Friendly staff.
Disliked: Room is dated and needed some work; shower didn't work too well. View outside window was a fence 3ft away.

We arrived at the hotel pleasantly surprised - staff were warm and welcoming upon arrival. My partner and I stayed for one night after seeing a comedian in the town. When we arrived back to the hotel we were greeted with music blasting out until 2am in the morning and then constant screaming guests roaming the corridors until 5am in the morning. We believe there was a wedding as there was a bride walking in the reception area which is absolutely fine! (everyone loves a good wedding) But what particularly annoyed me was when checking out we mentioned it to the woman on reception as we were not made aware of the wedding upon arrival and placed in a room basically next door to the function room. The woman on the desk completely ignored our concerns and told us that we were checked out and turned her back to us! We will not be staying again or recommending the hotel. No sleep plus unacceptable service from the staff. Extremely disappointed, especially after choosing your hotel over the Premier Inn down the road. What a mistake!
Disliked: Did not sleep and bad service.

We stayed at the hotel for one night as we were attending a comedy show at Victoria Hall. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable. We ate our evening meal at the hotel and enjoyed it immensely. The hotel staff were very helpful and when I phoned down for a bath mat and extra towels they were brought to our room within 10 minutes. We had a reasonable night's sleep but I never sleep that great in strange beds so not a negative. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, we really enjoyed it. We would definitely stay here again if coming to Stoke.
Liked: The room was lovely and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The breakfast choices were of a very high standard.
Disliked: Nothing.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable, including the beds. Very warm and welcoming. All facilities. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast. Free car parking. Very close to all shops and the theatre.

Had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay; perfect central location to the theatre, bars clubs and restaurants. The breakfast was quite expensive but was well worth it as there was a very good selection to suit all tastes and food was replenished regularly.
Liked: Clean room; very comfortable bed and pillows; staff were very helpful and friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: A little noise from nearby bars in the early hours.

We went to Stoke for one night for a gig. The hotel was easy to find, the parking was free and reception staff were lovely. We stayed in room 336 right at the back on the top floor - the room was huge and very clean. Only downside was the bed base was broken on one side of the bed. However, the reception staff were apologetic the next day and passed our comment to the handyman. Also, there was no hairdryer but it wasn't the end of the world and for £44 a night it was a bargain! Would definitely recommend.
Liked: Great staff; large, clean room; nice and quiet.
Disliked: Bed was broken and no hairdryer.

Very central for why we were there; food lovely; staff friendly; free parking and use of leisure facilities definitely a bonus. Room was clean and bathroom lovely. Would definitely consider staying again. Very reasonable room rates.
Disliked: A bit too warm in the hotel and the room could be our age!
Tom S, Lichfield, visiting Regent Theatre Stoke Mon, 29 September 2014
As we were travelling from Lichfield we decided to stay overnight to make a weekend of our visit. Big mistake, waste of money. Wish we had known there was a Premier Inn down the road.
Liked: Went to Regent Theatre (War Horse ). Great show.
Disliked: Breakfast was a disaster. Fried eggs only, poached or boiled on request. My wife and I asked for scrambled. I think the chef must have 'phoned a friend to ask how to cook them. We were presented with a plateful each of what looked like mashed potatoes - had the consistency of warm rubber and (perhaps fortunately) had virtually no taste. The bacon was over-cooked and again tasteless and the mushrooms looked like stale twiglets. Every time my hands made contact with the surface of the table, it felt as if it was covered in some sort of glue. I can only assume that it had been some time since the table had been properly cleaned. Overall a very unpleasant experience.
