Passable

I will stay again, keep...

Liked: A re-purposed older building with a fantastic Atrium and preserved art deco features. With bars, no frills food and private rooms serving the Atrium, friendly staff, massive free car parking. General good vibe about the place.
Disliked: Heating! In April temperatures resembling February and the heating was turned off. I understand hotel costs are an issue on profit, but in refurbishing rooms maybe auxiliary heating options could be considered.

Liked: Nice clean room,quiet.Nice breakfast
Disliked: Was told on arrival we couldn't use restaurant or bar as a show was going on the conference centre,had to have a drink and dinner in the room no alternative, which arrive without cutlery,took another 10 minutes for cutlery to appear whilst dinner was getting cold.At breakfast no milk in jug for tea/ coffee ,no white bread for toast had to ask for both.(more attention to detail required )Antique fair Sunday am which was interesting. I think the centre should focus on either being a activity centre or a hotel as at present it's not good at both.

Liked: We came for the comedy evening. The show was brilliant however i have an allergy to rocket and told staff this on ordering my food and yet it still arrived with rocket then they took it back an have me my food that had the rocket taken off the burger my reaction want good.
Disliked: The room we was given was god awful the smell from the drains was enough to make you heave!! The bed linen wasnt clean at all had stains on it. The carpet was disgusting old dirty and obviously hadnt been cleaned properly for some time. . Cobwebbs in room dust on desk. Boiling hot water and i no there was warnings about it but it was scolding even to wash ur hands after the loo. When i checked in receptionist actually said oh uv booked through booking.com u can have that room. Think it was awful a wojt be booking again. An who the hell carrys a passport with them everyday?? She wanted my id hadnt got any !! Apparently its your policy. Funny been booking for yrs an never had a problem like that. Nor have i ever stayed anywhere that i really wouldnt have let my dog stay in ... its unclean dirty an smelly an not acceptable!!
