Would return to Oswald House...

Liked: Friendly staff,very helpful and polite. Would’ve liked a cooked breakfast and paid a little extra for it, ended up just having a bowl of cereals so can’t really fault that. Had dinner in the evening which was very good. All in all a very pleasant stay was had.
Disliked: Nothing in particular we disliked.

Liked: Staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The food we had was very good.
Disliked: The hotel now only serve a continental breakfast, it would have been nice to have a cooked breakfast option.

Just about tolerable for one...

Liked: Location was excellent. Bed was large and comfortable. Large screen television but the hand held controller was a bit fiddly.
Disliked: Breakfast was uninspiring, dining room was dingy with poor lighting. The breakfast items were crammed into a corner of the room which would have been a problem if there had been more guests. There was no staff on duty and no obvious means to get items replenished if they ran out.The tarmac in front of the hotel entrance was defective and as there was a lot of rain a small lake appeared, it could be avoided in daylight but once it got dark it was wet feet all round.The shower was just about OK, took a long time for the hot water to appear. The shower screen did not seal onto the bath (seal was broken) so water onto the floor. The WHB was set on a worktop about 4 feet off the floor so my wife (who is only 5'2") had difficulty using it, very odd.Only one mirror in the bedroom, tucked away beside the wardrobe for no obvious reason, the tea/coffee tray was in front of the window but there was no socket for the kettle, it had to be moved onto the table below the television.

Liked: More than promised - expected a continental breakfast, plenty of options and boiled eggs too!Comfortable bed, huge rooms! Friendly and helpful staff. Great dinner in restaurant. Accommodated for Gluten free.

Liked: Decor, cleanliness, comfortable bed, spacious room, amazing continental breakfast, views., friendly and helpful staff, peaceful. our new place to stay when visiting family
Disliked: From the outside the building has seen better days - windows need repainting, etc. Hanging baskets with plastic flowers are a no for me. However look past this as we had a lovely stay and can't wait to return.
