Great hotel in a park,...

Liked: Excellent redesign of an old building. Very upmarket feel
Disliked: We had a parcel left at reception for us. Sadly, despite asking for it, it was not given to us. The hotel did post it after we had left.

Lovely place.spoiled by bad service”...

Liked: Lovely surroundings
Disliked: Early closing on a Sunday. No possibly chance of a sandwich. Bar staff no where to be seen

A little pricey with highs...

Liked: The room was nice, the view adequate, the facilities as expected, breakfast was as expected with a nice selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had two nights of evening meals, with different results. There was two of us and our selection on the Thursday night produced very nice and well thought out three courses. On the Friday evening we had two guests and the four of us found our meals average except for the one who had fish and chips and the one who ordered steak but was given the lamb. All our starters were average and the deserts were as expected. The coffee was good and the space around tables. Before leaving we had Sunday lunch and it was excellent.
Disliked: Some of the evening meals were average to poor.

Clean and welcoming

Liked: Very clean and lovely location.
Disliked: Private party with a singer, when travelling the next morning and needing an early night it was unnecessary to be as loud as it was. It’s not a big place so didn’t need to be thumping like it was. The volume was just way too high, I did complain at the property about the noise. I don’t mind noise but sounded like they was sitting in our bed how loud it was

Liked: Lovely setting, easy parking, really friendly reception staff, comfy beds
Disliked: Grumpy waitress at breakfast, shower pressure poor, light bulbs needed replacing in room

A comfortable and enjoyable stay...

Liked: The property was clean, well presented, and had a unique decor that made it both interesting and memorable.
Disliked: “A minor observation—breakfast table clearing and preparation could have been better. When we arrived, we had to take glasses and cutlery from other tables. That said, the breakfast itself was excellent and the overall service was very good.
