We loved the location, appreciated...

Liked: Spectacular location, lovely staff.
Disliked: The accommodation needs a lot of updating, the stairs are very steep. The walls and ceilings are very thin, so you hear a lot of noise. The hotel does warn you about the noise but only after you have booked in.

Liked: This place was stunning, such a beautiful spot! The staff were amazing. The food was so good, but a little pricey. Rooms are a bit dated but it?s such a beautiful old lodge and stunning scenery that was the least of our problems. Highly recommend.
Disliked: The beds were pretty hard and uncomfortable.

Would go back in a...

Liked: The staff was exceptional. Restaurant manager Austin and his Lodge Manager fiancee were lovely. The rooms were old but huge and comfortable. The story of the lodge founders, the Simpson family, was awesome. You truly felt you had walked back in time. Food was delicious and the location couldn?t have been better for hiking.
Disliked: Price

Good

Disliked: A lot of noise in the room due to poor isolation. Was hearing the footsteps above and room was above heater (maybe?) so floor was vibrating all night.

Very good

Liked: Great location.
Disliked: Restaurant is overpriced. U pay $50 for the main course. They even make extra money on the breakfast that is included. You get some snacks but for eggs and sausages u will be charged $10. When paying $500+ per night - that looks ?funny?.
