Liked: The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, nice decor.
Disliked: We were given warning of building work from 0800 and it started extremely loud from 0710, I feel for the price we paid this could have been reflexed. We could not stay in the hotel room in the day as building work so loud, and water cut off most of the day, warning gave that morning. Understand work needs to be done but lack of water… couldn’t even use toilet and so loud couldn’t stay in room in day, could have reflected in the £115.00 a night (without breakfast) price.

Liked: New carpets and refurbished rooms were clean and funky
Disliked: The noise from the (almost empty) third floor bar pumped into our room and there was nothing I could do. I was LOUD - house tracks till midnight on Saturday. Less intrusive in Sunday. Really spoilt things for me.

Best stay at Novotel

Liked: Excellent food and very friendly staff. Merna, Lauren, Lilly, were so friendly and kind. Looked forward to seeing them every morning.

Non transparent with hotel maintenance...

Liked: The only highlight was clean pool area and staff. Reception & maintenance staff were pretty clueless on how to help guests who are having such a bad experience during their stay. Location is good with a beach view from the hotel rooms.
Disliked: Constant maintenance works were being conducted during our stay with loud drilling which caused massive issues for us as we also have a special needs kid &we were also trying to work during our stay there so the loud drilling noise right above the room was not helpful. No option provided to change room/any other assistance to help us get through this.Also there was water supply disruption twice for almost the entire day during our stay which also caused issues for us esp with kids.I request the property to please be transparent with their guests regarding upcoming maintenance works, I would have definitely moved to a different hotel if I had known the extent of works being conducted on the property.The restaurant was also closed due to maintenance so food options were quite limited. Will think twice about returning here for a stay, not worth it.
