Why Concert-goers love it

Location is everything—and No. 11 delivers. You’re within a short walk of many of Edinburgh’s main music venues and just 12 minutes on foot from Waverley Station, making late-night transport simple. Can recommend this hotel as...

Liked: The interesting decoration and features. Good location. Nice building. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Bedside tables were a little bit small. Nowhere to do hair & makeup. But that’s just being a bit picky. Overall it was very good.

Very good

Liked: We found the staff very kind and helpful The location of the hotel was perfect for us as we like to walk. To get to the Old Town was a little further but we didn't mind that. The hotel has a lovely little courtyard cottage garden at the rear, which I loved. There are guest toilets too so this saves you going back to your room if you're in the bar, lounge or garden. The breakfast was lovely and the homemade pancakes were delicious. When we asked to change rooms the lady who arranged this was wonderful, really lovely.
Disliked: The room we were given wasn't the room we'd booked. We were given a suite which we thought was lovely. Until we stayed in it for one night. It was an extremely hot room despite the fan which was provided. It was a ground floor room which we discovered was next to the boiler. For us, this was too noisy. The room also overlooked the little courtyard garden but we found this very intrusive as other guests could see straight into our room. It wasn't very private. I should have researched the parking as the hotel doesn't provide any, which I knew but didn't think the on street parking would be £4.30 per hour. We were staying for 2 nights. We booked the car into Qpark at Omni which is very secure and easy to do online but cost us £60 on top of the cost of our stay. It was about a 7min walk away from the hotel.
