Disappointed, wouldn?t stay here again.

Liked: Excellent downtown location with on-site free parking. Old fashioned feel, not a modern hotel chain.Spacious bedroom, very comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee, water and cereal bar in room. The lady who checked us in was very helpful, and when we realised that the hotel restaurant and bar was closed (Sunday evening) she recommended restaurants close by and even printed out a map to help us find them.
Disliked: The bathroom was very dimly lit and looked a little tired; the washbasin had a rippled effect as though something had melted the plastic. Toilet seat needed replacing. One of the bedside drawers had sweet wrappers in it. We used the coffee on our first night; the dirty cups were not removed, nor was the coffee machine cleaned out. Our room, number two, was next to the ice machine. On our first night the machine was very noisy, making ice, as quite a few guests were taking the ice. It appeared that the bedroom opposite ours was being used as a florists. The breakfast was disappointing to say the least. A few muffins, half a dozen cubes of melon, and some greyish looking scrambled eggs. I spoke to the receptionist to ask for the jug of orange juice to be refilled and for some plates. The restaurant was bleak, cold, with bare wood tables. Yet in the dining room next door all the tables were clothed and laid with cutlery and glasses. (For a conference ?). There didn?t appear to be any management presence. Nobody asked us if we had enjoyed our stay when we checked out. There was an air of apathy and neglect. Such a shame as this would be an excellent place to stay if it was managed properly.

Best short trip.

Liked: Everything but the breakfast was fantastic... even then, the breakfast is FREE so there really isn't a great reason to complain.
Disliked: The Free Breakfast could be better but, this should not discount New World Inn as a whole. I'd much rather stay at New World than Holiday Inn.

Liked: I loved that our room was very unique and that the property was located in a prime area. It was easy, as a tourist, to make my way to the beach, theater, and local eateries. I love this area.
Disliked: Those stairs are disrespectful! Lol ..

Terribly disappointed and potentially unhealthy.

Liked: The staff was very helpful.
Disliked: The hotel is old and in many ways, run down. At first it was quaint but turned badly. We left a day early after seeing black mold on a broken ceiling tile. It was blatantly obvious so was known. The air filter was grossly covered with collected fuzzy stuff. The post of the bed came off in my wife's hand as she walked past. There was no trash can! Bathroom was poorly lit. Caulking in the bathroom was split and pulling away. Two microwaves available and both had old food on the inside. Does not deserve the misleading high rating.

Great stay, a little expensive...

Liked: Very quiet comfortable feel, almost like being in someone?s home.
Disliked: Could use some slight repair to some certain areas.
