Grab and go
Liked: It was close to the ocean. The second floor had a nice view and close to shops and restaurants.
Disliked: This is a very expensive part of the island. There were so many homeless who ask us for a beer or give them some change. I would not say it was quite a property. Also not really clean.

Liked: Rooms had a nice Hawaiian feel and were super clean. Right in town so easy to walk around! We will be back.

A nice place, but know...
Liked: It?s in a great spot, and it?s hard not to have fun in Maui.
Disliked: This was by far the noisiest room I?ve ever stayed in, anywhere. The venue next door had live music, and we may as well have been trying to sleep on stage. There are other noises, too, and there being no door to the bathroom is going to complicate things if you?re not traveling alone.

Correct lodge for the price
Liked: The Lodge was as expected for the price. The room was ok with all what we need.
When you arrive there is already no one there, you need to dothe check in yourself. There is a sideboard with the reservation names and you take your key.
It has a cozy chill out place with a big hammock and sofas, tables, etc. you can do bbq there, bring your own food, etc. Also there is laundry where you can clean your clothes.
The place is just near a great cafe, where we had breakfast everyday, the bagels were delicious. There is even a door in the lodge that get you directly to the cafe.
Disliked: Perhaps the room could be a bit bigger but we were just there at night, during the day we were sightseeing. There is no door in bathroom.

We had a great time...
Liked: We loved the location! You can walk to everything in Paia from the Lodge. There is a coffee shop right next door with fantastic food and drinks - super convenient! You can also walk to the beach which is a great walking beach. The Lodge itself is wonderful - the rooms are super homey and comfortable. I wouldn't compare this to a 5-star luxury resort - it's better :) It's super quaint, only a handful of rooms, and makes you really feel like you are in a tropical location right in the middle of town. Big fancy hotels are fine, but Lodges like this are what help make you feel more like a local living in town.
Disliked: Parking is scarce but that is true for all of Paia. We were able to grab a spot but if you arrive during a busy time, I would guess you may not be able to park directly at the Lodge as they do not have quite as many spaces as rooms.

Liked: The room was cute and felt beachy. The common outdoor area was also really nice and the location of the lodge is great!
Disliked: There wasn?t really any staff around to ask questions. The bathroom had no door so there wasn?t much privacy. Our room had dozens of cockroaches under the fridge and in the closet area. We called the staff and they came to spray the room though, so that was nice of them. We really appreciate how quickly they responded. There were only a handful around after that.
