Motel 6-Groton CT - Casinos nearby, Groton

I made a reservation for 05/15 instead of 05/18 on May 15th at 8:30 pm. Needless to say when we arrived on 05/18, we were told we had no reservation, but 'B' the manager was able to see what had happened. I was very upset at my mistake of having to pay for a night that we did not even use and not having a room, but B was so wonderful and gave us a great deal for a Friday night, last minute situation that was beyond my control and hers. She saved our weekend and I will from now on call the hotel directly if I need a reservation so as not to make any more errors on the intended dates. She was wonderful!

Needs some serious TLC

Liked: Location was close to ferry. 18 minutes from casino.
Disliked: Police blocking entrance arresting someone on arrival. The Check in lady was Rude to start the stay. The Room Was Absolutely Disgusting!!!! The floors were filthy. Not swept or mopped. The tub looked as if it hadn’t had a good bleach/clorox cleaning ever. The walls had stains! Toilet bowl was not properly bolted to the floor. No lock on bathroom door. Pillows smelled of smoke! And the blankets were riddled in cigarette burns! The dining table provided in room was filthy with smears all over it! The nightstand had dirt and grime on and in the drawers. Very outdated could use some TLC. Won’t be back…. And it’s a shame this place used to be a nice clean place to stay.

Disliked: Room was cold and heater was inefficient and far too loud. Bed creaked.

Disliked: bed is on metal base so makes noise when you move. shower was clean and hot water. all the room needs is better bed and better pillows.
