Superb

Liked: Breakfast great, room clean. Martin helpful with information as to Durham tourist sites. Fantastic location as only a few minutes walk to bus stop for buses into city centre. Park and ride also a couple of miles away. There is a pub next door, which apparently will be serving meals once it's been refurbished. They serve a good pint and friendly place. Area quiet and parking on street behind the B&B.
Disliked: Shower a little small but that wouldn't be a reason not to stay there.

Dissapointed with our bedroom

Liked: Location was fine and easy to find close to the city with easy bus access into the city right outside. The breakfast was nice good choices freshly made to order plentiful and hot.
Disliked: Our bedroom was in the attic, it was very cold, had a velux window, it was not dark, the floor surface is boarded in old floor boards, we appreciate it is a very old house but there are wide gaps in places making it drafty that need filling and half the floorboards have not been stained making it look white like dust. No carpet or rugs. Were afraid The bathroom was dirty, we found loads of hair on the floor and long dark hairs in the shower, the sink drain hole was dirty and needs bleaching, the white paintwork looked very dirty and tired desperately needs painting. There are Screw holes in the walls where items have been removed and holes at side of radiator where a larger radiator has been. Toilet roll holder was a challenge as everytime you pulled some paper it fell out of the holder to the floor. We had a very squeeky bed which was annoying with every move. We could not comment on any other bedrooms. Corridors staircases and the breakfast room where all clean and well presented. We did not report our findings to the owner.

It was an excellent find

Liked: I liked the little details that went in to the decor. I liked how clean it was and I thought the man who owned it was friendly, helpful and cared about his business.
Disliked: There was nothing not to like.
