Lovely hotel but don't accept a room in the basement if you want any sleep.

Liked: Really lovely boutique hotel beautifully decorated.
Disliked: Unfortunately my room was in the basement with the only natural light through an internal lightwell. My room was under the entrance hall upstairs which was very noisy. Cleaners were in cleaning the room beside me very early in the morning which was extremely noisy. Lovely hotel Unfortunately I got very little sleep with all the noise.

Liked: Having stayed at this hotel before whilst travelling for work, it has been a pleasurable experience and the staff were kind and very helpful if I needed anything.
Disliked: Unfortunately my stay this time around was not so pleasant. I was put in a room below ground floor. The room itself was nice and quite similar to the other rooms I have stayed in previously however this time around it was not an enjoyable experience. The night staff / porter was being terribly loud in the kitchen / bar and I was woken at 3am, 5am and 6am to the sound of clinking cutlery and cups. There was no care taken to the guests sleeping close by and there was even a smashed cup at 3am. The acoustics between the rooms and common areas are poor and I urge the staff to be conscious that people are sleeping and to avoid doing these work tasks during the early hours.

Beautiful hotel but noisy in the AM and the area was a little sketchy.

Liked: The hotel decor and the room was equipped with everything apart from an iron and board that would of been handy. You could probably get from reception but I prefer for it to be available in the room
Disliked: I was in room 2 which was the basement from the ground floor. You could hear people walking above and I was awaken at 4am by loud people talking for about half an hour
