Disliked: In the main building there's lots of stairs and no lift. (It is a former Abbey and as such it is an old building.) .

Not really what we hoped...

Liked: Grounds and the fact that it was an old abbey
Disliked: Rooms. Too small and in need of refurbishment throughout. Walls too thin so could hear neighbours talking and their t.v.

Liked: Good location and nice surroundings and a pleasant room, once you had found it
Disliked: Letting you know in advance where room F50 was as virtually all rooms were on the left hand side yet this room was on the right and not obvious.The shower head had clearly not been cleaned for a long while as the spray was a dribble and with a vigorous rub the flow was improved.It quickly seemed obvious that a staff member was absent at breakfast at 08.00 and that some parts were not ready and there was quite a large number of people present at opening time. The chef did an excellent jib but at 8,10 there was still no fruit out.Attention to detail could make this an excellent hotel but it was not my experience on this occasion
