Very comfortable, relaxing stay.

Liked: We very much enjoyed our stay at Mimosa Lodge. The house is beautiful and our top floor room was very comfortable, private and spotlessly clean. It was a bit cold to sit out but worth wrapping up to relax on the balcony with a cup of tea or glass of wine. There was a good range of choice for breakfast for a small establishment and it was prepared to a good standard. We enjoyed a long walk to Osborne House using the temporary boat shuttle across to East Cowes. The 25,000 steps used up the good breakfast and prepared us for a lovely evening meal at Jolliffe's.
Disliked: We chose Mimosa especially for the view of the sea, which we had. I was surprised (I should have known) that on the mainland opposite that part of Cowes there was also a view of the industrial chimneys of Fawley refinery which was not really what we were looking for but it's easy enough to turn your gaze for a better view.

Perfection and happiness ..... lacking...

Liked: The breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice, perfectly cooked and well presented. Sally, the owner, is an exceptional lady.....happy, smiling, helpful, proactive and highly efficient. She really cares about her guests and does everything possible to ensure that your stay/experience is perfect. She thinks of everything, and does everything, in a none intrusive and friendly manner. All Covid19 restrictions were completely adhered to and so we felt completely safe. The entire property is immaculately clean and well ordered. The beds are extremely comfortable and provide truly restful sleep. Our three nights stay was delightful.
Disliked: Everything was done perfectly and there is nothing that could be improved.
