Midtown Inn & Suites, Kansas City

Not worth $89/night, more like a $30/night hotel.

Liked: Hotel staff was friendly.
Disliked: Horribly smelled of smoke - hard to breathe; not very clean; definitely NOT worth spending $89 for a night.

Liked: Nice people working there.
Disliked: Bathroom needed repair; noisy; walls are paper thin.

This place is the worst hotel I've been to in my life. Horrible staff - they would charge for random things like trying to charge us $20 for noise and $10 for letting one of our guests use our bathroom! The rooms were filthy - shower had a spider and pubic hair in it, and the lamp shade had what looked like mud or poop on it. So nasty. Run away from this place. Spend your money at the Hilton!

Disliked: Lights did not work in 3 of the lamps. Sheets and pillow cases stained. Blow dryer didn't work, small room.

Disliked: Right next to the hospitals you did have ambulance sirens some but they did seem to stop at 10 pm.

Disappointing

Liked: The price was ok, it was close to the hospital.
Disliked: The door had a big gap in it . I could see the hallway from the bed . There's probably a 2-inch gap in the door.

Location was okay but not...

Liked: The service was expectable. They were very nice when we checked in and out. The rooms were okay but not what we expected for a Comfort Inn.
Disliked: The elevator to our room was VERY old. My granddaughter was not very happy with getting on it. There weren't any windows in our room that we were able to look out of.

Liked: The rooms were spacious and very. The rooms were set to a great temperature that were comfortable. The beds and pillows were clean, and the rooms were modern.
Disliked: The staff at the front desk was very rude and stated she was helping someone but that person was at the end of the counter on the phone. She was not pleasant and made me feel like I wasn't welcomed there.
