Liked: The room had a view of the courtyard which was nice. There were green parrots that flew in regularly to roost in the large tree. The kitchen had a full size fridge and oven. The location was near lots of restaurants, shops and the beach. There were several places to buy groceries and other essentials.The staff was friendly and helpful. Our toaster didn't work properly, and they brought us a replacement the same day. The TV remote was also not working, they replaced the battery as soon as we brought it to their attention.
Disliked: There is a bar downstairs that played hip hop music from about noon until late evening. Sometimes the people in the courtyard where pretty loud so we had to we had to run the fan on continuous all night. The sink in the kitchen was a bathroom fixture and there wasn't a dishwasher, so it was a challenge to wash dishes. The pots and pans should have been thrown away, we didn't use them. The platform bed was comfortable, but the fabric headboard and sides were very worn. There were actually recovering them as we saw them reupholstering other headboards and frames behind the courtyard. Listening to the nail gun going off wasn't great.

Liked: The hotel provides a free taxi upon arrival from the airport.The beach is very close to the hotel (5 minutes).The hotel provides towels for the beach.There are a great variety of restaurants and shops around.The room is cleaned every day (although not very thoroughly).The hotel manager Jose Pita is an extremely responsive and responsible person, he personally sent us via UPSa parcel with things we forgot in our room.
Disliked: There is not a single hook for clothes in the room, not a single hanger, or a closet for clothes. The bedroom has a niche with an open wardrobe with three shelves where you can put clothes in a pile. The only thing is in the cabinet under the TV, where there are yes drawers for small things.There are two (rather old) TVs in the room, the display is bad (ripples). Remotes from other TV models - one does not work at all, the other can only switch channels and change the volume, the rest of the functions do not work.The view from the room is bad (the roof of the neighboring building has pipes).The sofa in the living room is intended for sleeping, but it is extremely difficult to disassemble and assemble.The doors from the living room to the bedroom and from the bedroom to the toilet are glass, and when someone turns on the light in one room, it becomes impossible to sleep in the other.There are no dark curtains or thick blinds on the windows, and the light from the street makes it difficult to sleep.Sometimes at night the hoods of the neighboring building, where the windows face, make noise.There is no dishwasher in the room (although the description on the website says that there is).The description of the room says that there is a safe, but you need to ask for it separately at the reception - then they will bring it and install it.The kitchen faucet was leaking. We reported this to the reception, but during the 6 days we stayed at the hotel it was never fixed.
