Perfect hotel in the centre...

Liked: The Mermaid Inn is absolutely beautiful. Everywhere is so well decorated and in keeping with the age of the building. The room was a good size and very comfortable.

Amazing traditional inn.

Liked: Stunning 14th Century Inn with oak beams, huge fireplaces, wonderful traditional decor such as wood panelling and fabulous old paintings, leather chesterfield sofas. A characterful bar and excellent dining room, and a delicious breakfast included in the price. Location in Rye's citadel on Mermaid Street is just beautiful.
Disliked: No ghosts! We were promised ghosts!

Liked: The night staff on arrival were more than accommodating. kind and even showed up the basement downstairs nothing was too much.
Disliked: the breakfast was not great, busy and late.
