Very Good - 4 out of 5

Charles, Excelsior, visiting Vetter Stone Amphitheater Tue, 12 September 2017

Within walking distance (8 blocks) of the Stone Amphitheater.

Liked: Pet friendly and nice, clean rooms.
Disliked: Room temperature was slow to change.

Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Mary, Minneapolis, visiting Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center Thu, 22 December 2016

The hotel was clean. The decor was dated/old. There was no information about the hotel in the room. For example, where to find amenities, exercise room, hours of the lounge and restaurant, map of how to get to the Verizon Wireless Center, local restaurants nearby. Something as simple as a three ring binder or even just a piece of paper. The staff was courteous but reduced because of the season. I would stay here if there were no other options.

Liked: Convenient to Verizon Wireless Center.
Disliked: The room was clean but old. Bathroom door had slivers of wood missing on back of the door. Scratched paint on metal door jam.

This is a perfect hotel in which to stay for concerts at the Verizon Wireless Center. The skywalk makes it convenient, even during good weather!

Liked: Bed was comfortable; staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Food in the restaurant was mediocre.

Very good

Liked: I liked the extra pillows on the bed
Disliked: When I first checked in I was given a room that had not been cleaned, so I went back down to the front desk and was given a different room, but it was smaller.

Stay somewhere else.

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: This hotel was extremely dirty. There was dirt piled in the corner of the elevator, surfaces were sticky, mold in the shower, mud in the hallways, and the pool area looked like a riot went down in there.

Poor - 0.5 out of 5

Pamela Wed, 4 March 2020

Liked: I liked that the hotel was a short walk to the conference center
Disliked: The hotel was terrible! We were supposed to be able to check in at three, but had to wait two plus hours because they were behind in the cleaning. When I got to my room the tv did not work and the staff suggested I try to fix it!

Liked: I didn't enjoy a single minute in this hotel. The staff was way behind on the bedding so rooms were 3hrs behind check-in time. The only "excuse" the staff gave was "Sorry. The bedding isn't clean yet."
Disliked: EVERYTHING! Once getting into our room we found red wine (or blood) stains on the rug and our bedroom lights didn't even work!! After three hours of waiting, we were too tired to even complain. I couldn't wait to check out!

Liked: Friendly staff, comfortable bed
Disliked: Check in time is 3 p.m., but I was not able to get into my room until after 5:30 p.m. as they "did not have enough clean rooms". When I did get in to my room and pulled out the bedside table to plug in my laptop to the wall outlet, it was obvious that it had not been vacuumed recently. Crumbs, bottle tops, etc. between the table and the wall. 3 staffers knocked on my door to make sure I had clean towels. I asked the second knocker about the garbage cans, as there were no plastic liners and I wasn't sure if there should be. "We ran out of garbage bags", she said.

Poor - 1.5 out of 5

Thomas Mon, 2 March 2020

Liked: It was connected to the civic center where we were hosting an event
Disliked: Furniture upholstery was cracked, bed was springy/squeaky and uncomfortable, shower didn't drain well (4" of water in tub by end of shower), loud guests in the pool until 1:00am, guy passed out on couch by elevator at 5:45 am. Terrible experience.

Liked: I don?t know how, but I can not think of a single redeeming quality of this hotel. Maybe the location is good, but there are other hotels within blocks if you like this area.
Disliked: My wife and I chose this location to get away from the twin cities for a night and I will say that this was far from the mini vacation we were hoping for. Starting at check in the front desk person said there won?t be parking and then rambled off the names of other parking lots that I could park at. Once we found a place to park we decided to go swimming. We got down to the pool (in literal view and earshot of the front desk), and there were 20 or so young kids running around, diving, screaming, and splashing everywhere. We decided to go swimming in the morning. We went up to our room and realized our room faces the pool. Our room hade a used lint roller paper stuck to the mirror, old food in the fridge, and a used bar of soap sitting in the bathtub. After attempting to plug in our phones to charge we discovered that the only working outlet in the room was in the bathroom. We were then subjected to screaming outside our window until 12:30 am. Upon waking up we went down to the pool area to swim and there are no towels that are clean. I go to ask front desk and she said ?well house keeping doesn?t come in until a certain time, so I don?t know if it?s done.? It was 9am how was there no available towels in the hotel. So we ended up going upstairs to leave because checkout was at 11. Waste of money. I did not expect an amazing hotel upon arrival but I was not expecting a 1 star hotel. If you want to swim I?m sure there are other options in Mankato.

Disliked: The hotel staff at front desk was rude and the fact that there was a horrible long line when I checked in took 40minutes to check in
