Ronald, Pascagoula, visiting Downtown Mobile Tue, 1 May 2018

This beautiful inn located in historic downtown Mobile is within walking distance to the entertainment district with many restaurants and clubs. We enjoyed the history and personal atmosphere. Our next overnight trip to Mobile will have us staying here again.

Very good

Liked: I appreciate the location, the friendliness of the staff, and the peaceful environment.
Disliked: There weren't any towels in the room. This is the second time this has occurred. It was addressed immediately by front desk staff.

Very good

Liked: The place was old you could tell, well maintained for its age. It had a lot of character and history, in these COVID times some of the services were limited but the staff would bend over backwards had we asked. Overall a beautiful old hotel that could use some extra TLC but lovely all the same.

Staff wasn't great

Disliked: First of all we were only given two towels and there were four of us staying. My son got sick and we needed new linens. When I went to the front desk the girl working was about to leave and didn't have time to help. She did end up bringing us towels but no sheets. I waited 20 minutes for the new person on shift and went back in to ask for sheets. He told me that he was aware I needed them and would get them when he could. He was very rude about it. I was appalled and went back to the room where my son was currently laying on the floor begging to go to sleep.

King Suite, Not So Sweet!

Liked: Our daughter attends USA, so this hotel became our ?home away from home? 2 years ago. We love the history of the building and the courtyard.
Disliked: We arrived around 7pm. Our King Suite was not so sweet. The bathroom had not been cleaned after the previous guest. Shower still had the previous guests used washcloth and toiletries in it, no clean towels, no cups. Tried to call down to front desk, no one would ever answer. Went down to tell the front desk and she ?didn?t have time? to come up to see it. So, she just handed me some towels. We would have gone to a different hotel, but couldn?t get a refund. I had no other option than to have to clean the bathroom after the previous guest. This is unacceptable on any given day, but for this to happen during a pandemic took it to a new level. This has been our 5th stay at Malaga in 2 years, and we have recommended this hotel to so many people! For the front desk to not care, was very disappointing. I don?t understand why she couldn?t have moved us to a different room for the night until our room was cleaned the following morning. THAT would have been ideal. Now, we may never come back. :(
