We had a wonderful stay...
Liked: Great host, John, gave us a great tour of the historic property, as well as ensured we were all made welcome and comfortable. Really nice setting and hope to return in the future for a longer stay.

A memorable mansion and weekend...
Liked: Delightful turn of the century mansion ( over 120 years old). Lindsay took us on a tour of all the rooms and explained about all the architecture and furnishings. Very informative! John, the manager, arranged for us to have a special TV brought into the men's parlor to watch championship NFL football games on Jan 20. Don't worry, the women were watching the game in there too! I really appreciated his caring about our interests. Lindsay also was very helpful with dinner suggestions, although we found our own ( mentioned in the booklet left in each room) . The Boll Weevil down by the Riverwalk over on the Georgia side. Visited Redcliffe Plantation State Park ( and plantation house), about 10 miles away the next morning and Augusta Historical Museum before we checked in on Saturday. Both worthy of visits. Great visit and we loved the Lookaway Inn. A special place not to be missed.
Disliked: Would have liked a little more breakfast. I realized it was continental, but some ham, cheese, and rolls would have been nice. ( as they serve in Europe). A little more protein would have been better. But there is a Waffle House about 1/2 miles away so we stopped there for lunch before the 2 hours trip back to Atlanta.
