Room, amenities and reception fantastic....
Liked: There is a fully equipped, shared kitchen which is professional grade and was a complete surprise to us. We've been traveling for a year and being able to cook our own meal was fantastic. There are also a high-end, modern washer and dryer that guests can use for a reasonable fee.
Disliked: In the morning, there was a strong smell of marijuana and a package of buds had been dropped on the floor in the downstairs hallway. I gave it to the receptionist. As we were going to bed the night before, around 10:00, there were loud people outside the room. When I complained to the manager, she went out and talked to them and they moved away, but it seemed like she knew them. It was quiet after that.

All in all, loved our...
Liked: The inn is beautiful. Our room had a lovely fireplace, beautiful light fixtures, comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but nice, with granite countertop, good water pressure in shower, and meticulously clean everything. I love when the toilet has that little strip of paper across the seat so you know it?s just been scrubbed. The communal kitchen was also a bonus. I cooked a big breakfast for my teenaged volleyball-playing son and his two friends both mornings that we stayed here. We brought our own groceries and were able to leave everything in the refrigerator (labeled with our name and room number ? nobody touched it). I loved this kitchen. The gas stove was fabulous, the refrigerator was spacious, big dishwasher, beautiful granite countertops, every pan I needed, coffee makers for regular and decaf. One of the bowls was chipped and I could not find a whisk (I survived), otherwise found every single thing I needed. The dining table in the adjacent room was enormous, and there was another small table as well. Also, the Inn is located in a great neighborhood, with a big family-friendly park/playground behind it and a fantastic Caffe Nero leas than half a mile away (an easy walk).
Disliked: Hmmm, really trying to think of something... if I was being picky, I?d say the rooms were not totally soundproof. we were lucky to stay with low-key travelers who were respectful and quiet throughout our stay, but a few rambunctious guests might change all the good vibes.

Liked: A lovely Victorian home, very comfortable and nicely appointed. Close to Fenway, House of Blues and great breakfast place close by. Parking in back. We Highly recommend Longwood Inn.
