Affordable Stay Near the Beat of West London

Modern and budget-friendly, the London Star Hotel is located in Ealing, West London. This no-frills hotel offers simple, clean rooms and a quiet atmosphere, perfect for resting up after a night of live music. With convenient transport links nearby, it’s a smart choice for fans heading to concerts across the city.

Why Concert-goers love it

The London Star Hotel is a practical home base for music lovers. Set in a calm neighborhood, it's a pleasant escape from the post-show buzz. The hotel is well-connected via public transport, making it easy to reach major venues in central London and beyond. With 14:00 check-in and an 11:00 check-out, there’s a bit of flexibility for those late nights. Soundproofing is solid, so you’ll get the rest you need after the encore.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly stay before or after a show
- Solo travelers seeing their favorite artist
- Couples turning a concert into a weekend getaway
- Fans needing a peaceful spot to recharge
- Budget-conscious music fans who prefer to spend more on tickets than accommodation

Food and Drink Options

The hotel has a small restaurant on-site, with basic meals available, including options for late arrivals. While 24/7 room service isn't available, the area offers several walkable eateries serving everything from kebabs to curry. For those recovering from a late night, breakfast is served in the morning, though options are relatively simple.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more low-key, you’re not far from Acton’s local pubs and bars. For a bigger night out, hop on a train to nearby Hammersmith or central London, where live music bars and late-night lounges are easy to find. It’s a great balance of peace and party.

What People Say

Guests often mention the hotel’s great value for money and friendly staff. Travelers appreciate the quiet location and the ease of getting to and from concerts via public transport. Cleanliness and safety are also frequently noted as big pluses.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are on the simpler side, and some guests mention they could use a few updates. There’s no elevator, which can be a bit of a climb with luggage. Breakfast is basic, so don’t expect a feast. But for the price, most concert-goers find it more than fair.

The Bottom Line

An affordable and quiet spot in West London, the London Star Hotel is a solid pick for concert-goers who want a clean, convenient base without breaking the bank.

Rotten, Rancid, Run down. (Unsafe.

Liked: Unfortunately, absolutely nothing at all.
Disliked: We didn’t even stay one night. This wasn’t a hotel room, it was a fire risk disguised as accommodation. The entire building reeked of stale shisha smoke, like a lounge with no ventilation or cleaning for weeks. It hit you the second you entered and soaked into your clothes. Had we known we’d be sleeping on top of a shisha lounge, we would’ve booked literally anywhere else. The room itself? Utterly unacceptable:Air conditioning broke down within 40 minutes, then started pouring water onto the floor, creating a puddle and damp trails across the wall.Door handle came off entirely, inside and out.Shower head hadn’t been cleaned, spraying water in every direction.Cold tap didn’t work, just hot water and frustration.Blinds didn’t close, so we had to push toilet paper in them for privacy.Stained, filthy carpet and grimy corners that hadn’t seen a vacuum in ages.TV was half-detached from the wall, hanging dangerously.Exposed electrical wiring outside the lift, and signs of crumbling fixtures throughout the property. And most shockingly: several electrical devices had PAT test stickers years out of date completely neglected, and illegal if still in use.As someone with heat sensitivity, the broken air con alone made the room unsafe. Add in the fire hazards, water leakage, and general filth, and this was beyond unacceptable.Yes, the receptionist was polite. But no amount of courtesy can cover up a property this unfit for guests. I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels business, budget, and beyond and this is by far the worst. Misleading listing, ignored maintenance, and shocking safety failures.Booking.com should not allow this place to remain on the platform. Do not book unless you want to risk your health, your sleep, and your sanity.

Ideal for a stop over

Liked: The room allocated was clean and beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was amazing and there was a fridge which was ideal to store drinks etc.
Disliked: The room wasn’t ready and no refreshments available at the property while waiting, the plugs in the room did not work when we arrived, however they did fix this, they removed the kettle so unsure if that was causing the plugs to fuse and was not replaced, also the shower curtain had seen better days.

Good value, no frills place...

Liked: The location is fine, if you're looking for a place to stay in West London that it's going force you to remortgage your house. It's a pretty basic 3-star hotel that does the job. A big plus was the staff, who were all very friendly and helpful. My room was perfectly clean and the WiFi worked perfectly.
Disliked: The weather during my stay wasn't particularly hot (low to mid 20s) but my room felt too warm. It was on the top floor and walking up the stairs I could feel the temp going up by a few degrees each floor. I realise that installing aircon in an old building is price prohibitive, but the concept of fans is to the British much like the concept of mixer taps in bathroom sinks; completely unknown to them. Places like this are really going to have to get on top of keeping cool in these times of climate change.

Disappointing

Liked: Close to the bus station and supermarket.
Disliked: The moment you enter the hotel, you can smell a very strong scent of air fresheners that makes you choke. The room was small, with only one chair even though we were two people. The clothing racks were missing hangers, there was no toilet paper holder, and no holder for the shower head. The bathroom floor was broken, and there was blood on the duvet under the sheets. Additionally, I find it absolutely necessary to mention in the hotel description that there is a shisha bar connected to the hotel - definitely not a family friendly environment. Every night loud noises coming from there and men staring in a disturbing way. I don’t know in what standards this hotel got 3 stars.

Cricket Team from Australia staying...

Liked: Cricket Team from Australia Staying at London StarLiked · We arrived with a large cricket squad from Australia late in the evening after a full day of traving. The staff were very good when dealing with room allocations and we were all checked in time for a good night’s sleep. We stayed for two nights on the London Leg of the Tour and we plan to spend another 3 nights in two weeks at the end of the tour. The hotel staff (Especially Priyanka) were fantastic and even planning and running a pre-checkin plus room allocations for our return visit so we only need to collect our keys and straight to our rooms next time. That;s a great service when you have a large group, so how good are they when there's just a small group. Well done Priyanka and all the staff at the London Star See you again soon !
Disliked: Breakfast Buffet would have been wonderful

Comfortable stay for a good...

Liked: Very friendly check in staff, comfortable and clean room. Location was about 12 minutes walk from nearest tube/train stations. Good value for money by London standards.
Disliked: Bathroom was very small and the lighting in that room was not great.

Great value for money

Liked: Stayed at the London Star a few times this year as I have been working in the area. Very happy with all of my stays! Good location within walking distance of either the Elizabeth or Mildmay (Overground) tube lines. Friendly staff and manager always made me feel welcome. Rooms always clean and comfortable. Noticed on my last stay that they had provided a new Fridge and Fan which were required in the hot weather!
Disliked: Nothing
