Great location with a short walk to concert venue - The National. 8 blocks of level walking.

Liked: Very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff that answered all of my questions.
Disliked: Only negative is $18 for valet parking. I parked on street in front of the Inn with no problems.

A bit dated...

Disliked: The property is dated and needs some work. I'm sure in it's day it was beautiful. The location is not great and is in an area where there's not a lot around and many abandoned buildings. It's not an area we felt safe in walking around.

Liked: Location, ambiance and architecture.
Disliked: Seems less well kept and maintained since our last visit a year ago. Some things look worn.We were also charged for a night 's valet parking when the car just sat in front of the hotel where I parked it.

It was a cute place...

Liked: I like the historic aspect of it. I liked that it had a coffee bar. I liked that the room had all of the amenities needed. Bed was very comfy, had a hair dyer, refrigerator, TV, ironing board and nice soaps, etc.
Disliked: It took each and every staff member minus the valet to acknowledge you. I was waiting to check out and it took ten minutes for either lady working yesterday to even say that they would be right with me, They didn't give me enough luggage tags for my things so needless to say when i had my luggage and items stored I left with everything minus my hanging clothes. I stayed in 129 and name is Kelly Long and now would like you to mail my hanging clothes back to my address in Atlanta. I found it interesting that there is no help to bring in luggage or items that you are traveling with and no help carrying them out of the room. That could be a service that is not offered.

I am not sure if...

Liked: I like the room after all the traffic died down. I thought the beds would be more comfortable than they were but it was OK. I felt safe in the area.
Disliked: Breakfast was not provided. There was a small shop located beside the hotel that offered breakfast sandwiches. "Very Pricy" I was told that the hotel was in walking distance of VCU. (20 min. walk) Also, something was taken from the glove compartment of the state car. When I was trying to find the place, I had to call twice and finally got to speak with someone from the area. I felt for the price charge of the room that it should include dinner and breakfast or something. It took the hot water a long time to heat up.
